DMC Hub information

Privacy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

This page explains what the Hub stores in your browser, which services it contacts, and what changes when you open a separate app.

Browsing the Hub

The Hub does not require an account. Its pages and assets are delivered by a hosting service. Loading a website necessarily sends connection information, such as your IP address and the requested address, to the service delivering it. Hosting providers handle that information under their own policies.

DMC Hub is hosted on Vercel. Read Vercel’s Privacy Notice for its practices. The Hub’s fonts are served with the site.

Preferences saved on this device

The Hub uses browser storage for preferences such as whether to skip the opening, weather and location settings, and Spiney settings. The explored-tools count records only tool identifiers in this browser tab; it is not a record of learning, treatment, or completion.

You can reset the explored count beside it. Clear site data in your browser settings to remove the Hub’s saved preferences and location. Doing so also resets those preferences. It does not delete files you downloaded or information sent to a separate service.

Optional location and weather

When weather is enabled, the Hub requests observations from the US National Weather Service for the default location or your selected location. It asks for device location only when you choose the location control and your browser grants permission.

The selected coordinates are saved on your device at the precision the browser provides. Weather requests send coordinates rounded to two decimal places to the National Weather Service. The weather provider also receives normal connection information. Turning off “Match the weather” stops new weather requests from the Hub; it does not erase requests already received by the provider.

Read the National Weather Service Privacy Policy.

Hub-hosted education pages

Selections, checklists, and optional questions in the Hub’s illustrated clinical pages are used in the current page. These pages do not provide a submission service for those entries. Printing or saving a handout creates a copy under your control. Avoid including names or other identifying details.

Two Hub-hosted tools work differently. Neurosurgery APP Onboarding saves its checklist progress, review records, notes and sign-off fields in this browser so they survive a reload; its practice-note text is not saved. Clear this site’s data in your browser to remove them. PostOp Ready can receive a surgery date, procedure, setup answers, phone number and medicine list from PreOp Ready when you continue from one to the other. That transfer stays in your browser. Directly between two open tabs, it can also include a name and date of birth if you entered them. As a link, the details sit in the part after “#”, which browsers do not send to the server; a link never carries a name or date of birth, but it does remain in your browser history.

Separate apps inside the desk

Opening a separate app can load that app’s website inside the Hub. Your browser then connects to its host and any services it uses, even when the Hub remains visible around it. The “Open full site” link identifies the destination.

Read the app’s own notice before entering a report, note, symptom drawing, or medication information. Local processing in one app does not imply that all apps process information locally.

For example, NoteVoice includes a review-before-send workflow and sends submitted content to an external analysis service. Review all fields and remove identifying details before approving a submission. A local scrubber can miss information. Provider retention and other processing terms are governed by that service’s policies and applicable arrangements.

Copies and shared devices

Downloads, printed pages, clipboard copies, browser history, and saved preferences can remain on your device. On a shared device, close the tools when finished and clear any sensitive copies using the device’s controls. Clearing the Hub’s site data does not clear a separate app’s site data.

Changes

This page describes the Hub’s current behavior. Separate apps can change independently. Check their current notices before using them.
